Disney has announced a brand new promotion for its streaming service, Disney+, which will offer new and returning customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland can subscribe to Disney+ Standard with Ads for £1.99/month for three months.

The offer will save new subscribers £9, when compared to the regular monthly price for three months. After three months, Disney+ Standard with Ads auto-renews at then-current monthly retail price until cancelled.

This promotion is running from September 12th 2024, through September 28th 2024, at 07:59 BST.    Disney is also offering similar promotions in other countries.

Over the next few months, Disney is offering plenty of new original content, including the highly anticipated new premieres such as In Vogue: The 90s (September 13th), the highest-grossing animated film of all time, Pixar’s Inside Out 2 (September 25th), Marvel’s Agatha All Along (September 19th), and the return of the beloved franchise Wizards Beyond Waverly Place (October 30th); as well as recent hits like FX’s The Bear, Only Murders in the Building and Kinds of Kindness.

Roger’s Take:  This offer is certainly a great option for new or returning subscribers. It’s a perfect way for Disney to get people to try out the platform and see what’s included.  The price point of £1.99 a month is easily going to grab people’s attention and no doubt help boost the subscriber numbers ahead of the next quarterly update and also increase advertising revenue during the best time of the year for ads!
