Following the success of “The Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild” and “Scrat Tales”, this is just Disney is continuing the “Ice Age” franchise with more content in the future.

According to the Fine Tooning Animation Podcast, which Jim Hill and Drew Taylor host, Disney Junior is currently developing on a brand new pre-school animated series featuring the characters from the Ice Age franchise as babies.

Jim Hill also said that Disney is planning on making “Ice Age” one of its main franchises, with plans of lots of merchandise to help recover the costs of purchasing 20th Century Fox.   The “Ice Age” franchise has pulled in over $3 billion at the global box office, putting it in the top 20 highest-grossing franchises of all time.   This is why Disney is viewing the “Ice Age” franchise as a valuable asset.

The previous “Ice Age” films are available to view now on Disney+, and the original film is set twenty-thousand years ago, where the Earth is a wondrous, prehistoric world filled with danger, not the least of which is the beginning of the Ice Age. To avoid a really bad frostbite, the planet’s majestic creatures – and a few small, slothful ones – begin migrating south. The exceptions are a woolly mammoth named Manfred, and a terminally lazy sloth named Sid. When Sid “adopts” Manfred as his protector, the mammoth tries everything he can to unload his newfound baggage. But that’s only the beginning of his frustrations: Manny has been roped by Sid into helping reunite an abandoned human baby named Roshan with his family. They are joined by Diego, a sinister saber-toothed tiger who befriends Sid and Manny, all the while seeing the infant as a tasty treat. As Sid, Manny and Diego make their way across the vast, ice-covered landscape, another creature, a prehistoric squirrel/rat known as Scrat, tries desperately to carry out his mission in life – to bury an acorn – which, alas, triggers calamitous events.

Nothing has been officially announced by Disney regarding the “Ice Age Babies” series.

What do you think of Disney Junior making a series with “Ice Age” characters?
