“Disney Jr.’s Ariel: Mermaid Tales” Trailer Released
Disney has released a new trailer for the upcoming short series, “Disney Jr.’s Ariel: Mermaid Tales”, which is an expansion of the upcoming animated series, “Ariel”, which is inspired by “The Little Mermaid.”
“Disney Jr.’s Ariel” is an animated musical series for preschoolers that follows 8-year-old mermaid princess Ariel as she and her friends embark on fun-filled, action-packed underwater adventures throughout their Caribbean-inspired fairytale kingdom of Atlantica and beyond. The series features fan-favorite characters, including King Triton, Ursula, Sebastian and Flounder, as well as exciting new additions like Ariel’s two best friends, mer-children Lucia and Fernie, and lots of other adorable sea creatures.
“Disney Jr.’s Ariel: Mermaid Tales” is a two-minute short story that highlights a different aspect of Ariel’s life in Atlantica.

This new animated short series features the voices of Mykal-Michelle Harris, Taye Diggs, Amber Riley), Gracen Newton, Cruz Flateau and Elizabeth Phoenix Caro.
“Disney Junior’s Ariel” is executive produced by Lynne Southerland (“Mulan II,” “Happily Ever After”). Norma P. Sepulveda (“Elena of Avalor”) and Keith Wagner (“TrollsTopia”) are the story editors. Ezra Edmond (“Disney+ Draw Me a Story”) is the producer. Kuni Tomita Bowen (“Dora the Explorer”) is the supervising director, and Chrystin Garland (“Solar Opposites”) is the art director. The series is produced by Wild Canary in association with Disney Junior.
The new shorts will be released on Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Jr. beginning Wednesday, 5th June 2024, ahead of the release of the full animated series later in the month on Friday 28th June 2024.
