Disney+ & Hulu To Raise Prices

Just like Halloween and Christmas, it’s that time of the year when Disney announce that it will be increasing the price of its streaming services, Disney+ and Hulu, with Disney announcing that this will happen in October in the United States.

It’s been a year since the last price rise, and this marks the continuation of a trend of annual increases, similar to those seen among other streaming platforms, including Netflix, Peacock, and Apple TV+.

In 2026, Disney will merge Disney+ and Hulu, making it noticeable that a new pricing structure is in place to encourage as many people as possible to opt for the bundle of the two platforms, as it’s only a dollar more to have both.

These new prices go into effect from October 21st 2025, for new customers and existing monthly customers.

  • Disney+ (With Ads) – Increasing $2 from $10 to $12 a month
  • Disney+ Premium (No Ads) – Increasing $3 from $16 to $19 a month
  • Hulu Premium – Will remain at $19 a month
  • Disney+ & Hulu Bundle with Ads – Increasing $2 from $11 to $13 a month
  • Disney+ & Hulu Bundle – Premium – Will remain at $20 a month
  • Hulu + Live TV (with ads) – Increasing $7 from $82.99 to $89.99 a month
  • Hulu + Live TV (Premium) – Increasing from $95.99 to $99.99 a month
  • Disney+/Hulu/ESPN Unlimited with ads Bundle – Will Remain $29.99 a month
  • Disney+/Hulu/ESPN Unlimited Premium Bundle – Will Remain $38.99 a month
  • Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max (with ads) Bundle – Increasing to $19.99 a month
  • Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max (Premium) Bundle – Increasing to $32.99 a month

The annual Disney+ subscription costs will also be increasing:

  • Disney+ Premium – Increasing from $159.99 to $189.99 a year

The price will also increase in other regions, such as the UK, although pricing for this has not been announced yet.

Roger’s Take: The annual price rise of Disney+ and Hulu is unlikely to go down well with subscribers, but the timing couldn’t be worse, given the recent negative publicity and the surge in people unsubscribing due to the temporary pause of the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show.  This price rise may put some people off re-signing, but I’d also recommend potentially holding off, as Black Friday isn’t too far away, and this is when, typically, Disney does a great promotion to hook new and previous subscribers.

It’s also very telling that the bundle price for Disney+ and Hulu is only a dollar more than a single option, so it’s encouraging more people to sign up to that, rather than an individual subscription, perfect for when they merge Disney+ and Hulu together next year.
