Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max Bundle Price Increases

Warner Bros. Discovery has announced its annual price increase for its HBO Max streaming service, raising the prices for all tiers, including the bundle with Hulu and Disney+.

This new price rise comes into effect from today for new subscribers, with existing monthly subscribers being notified 30 days in advance of their plan renewing, and they will see their price increase at the start of their next billing date after November 20th, 2025.   For annual subscribers, the new price increase will take effect when they renew their subscription after it expires.

This marks the third consecutive year that the price of HBO Max has increased, a trend similar to many other streaming services, including Disney+ and Hulu, which have also recently raised their prices.

The bundle of Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max launched in July 2024 and was priced at $16.99/month with ads and $29.99/month without ads, but the new bundles will now cost $3 a month more.

The bundled offers three popular streaming services together all through a single monthly subscription, while providing a wide selection of content from the biggest and most beloved portfolio of brands in entertainment including ABC, CNN, DC, Discovery, Disney, Food Network, FX, HBO, HGTV, Hulu, Marvel, Pixar, Searchlight, Star Wars, Warner Bros., and many more.

The new HBO Max tiers are priced as follows:

  • HBO Max Basic With Ads (stream on two devices simultaneously)
    Monthly: $10.99. ($1/month increase)
    Annually: $109.99 ($10/year increase)
  • HBO Max Standard (no ads, stream on two devices simultaneously)
    Monthly: $18.49 ($1.50/month increase)
    Annual: $184.99 ($15/year increase)
  • HBO Max Premium (no ads, 4K content, stream on four devices simultaneously)
    Monthly:  $22.99 ($2/month increase)
    Annual: $229.99 ($20/year increase)

The Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max bundle is also increasing:

  • Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max (With Ads) – $19.99 ($3/month increase)
  • Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max (No Ads) – $32.99  ($3/month increase)

There is also a bundle with HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Unlimited available for $49.98, though there is no discount on the ESPN subscription price.

Roger’s Take:  It shouldn’t come as a big surprise to see HBO Max has increased its prices, but this one feels harder on bundled subscribers, since it includes a dollar per platform, so it is much more noticeable.   If you have the premium bundle, it might be worth considering looking at reducing to an ad-supported tier to save money, or start considering rotating between different platforms more regularly.
