Disney Hosts “The Artful Dodger” Season 2 Launch Event In Sydney

To celebrate the launch of the second season of the hit Australian original series, “The Artful Dodger”, Disney held a special event  at the iconic Sydney Town Hall on Tuesday evening, which was attended by cast, creatives and special guests.

In the second season, Jack’s back — and he’s in deeper trouble than ever. Facing a date with the noose, hunted by Inspector Boxer, Port Victory’s new lawman, and torn by his love for Lady Belle, the stakes couldn’t be higher. As Boxer competes with Jack for Belle’s affection, Fagin pulls him into their most dangerous heist yet, while a killer stalks the streets. Expect an explosive new season packed with fresh characters, new locations, and more love, loss, invention and deception than ever before.

The red carpet welcomed a stellar lineup of Australian talent, with series stars including Maia Mitchell, Susie Porter, Tim Minchin, Lucy-Rose Leonard, Jeremy Sims, Zac Burgess, Nicholas Burton, Damien Garvey, Luke Carroll, Aljin Abella and Albert Latailakepa in attendance. The series’ Co-Creator and Executive Producer James McNamara joined directors Ben Young and AACTA Award-winning Gracie Otto for the evening’s celebrations.

Hosted by history aficionado Hot History (Ainslie Harvey), the launch event transported guests into the richly imagined world of The Artful Dodger, transforming the ornate, late-19th-century Sydney Town Hall into a playground of late-night revelry, intrigue and immersive storytelling.

A standout moment of the evening came courtesy of a special live performance by critically acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Meg Mac, whose powerful vocals brought the room to a standstill.

Guests explored a series of immersive installations inspired by the series, including authentic set props and costumes, Fagin’s lair, roaming ballroom dancers and surprise theatrical moments throughout the venue.

The event attracted notable guests, including creators, talent, and industry figures such as Maddy Macrae, Ash Hodgkinson, Xavier Molyneux, Paris Raine, Tai Hara, Guy Vadas, Kate Mulvany, and more.
