With just under 24 hours unilt the release of the first two episodes of “Star Wars: The Acolyte” on Disney+ around the world, Disney held a special screening event at The Whitby Hotel in New York City.

In “The Acolyte,” an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems….

The event was attended by some of the show’s stars including Amandla Stenberg, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson and Margarita Levieva, along with Leslye Headland, who is “The Acolyte’s” creator and executive producer.

The series also stars Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

The first two episodes of “The Acolyte” are being released on Disney+ as a primetime release at 6pm PT/9pm ET on June 4th 2024, with a new episode being released each week.
