Disney Hosts “Africa Earth’s Wild Home” Premiere In London

This past Tuesday evening, at BAFTA 195 in Piccadilly, London, Disney held a special premiere event for the new National Geographic series, “Africa Earth’s Wild Home”, which will be coming to Disney+ in October.

“Africa Earth’s Wild Home” launches an ambitious multiyear franchise that will document our planet continent by continent at a moment when that planet is changing faster than ever. It is a singular creative partnership, uniting National Geographic’s world-class natural history storytelling, the National Geographic Society’s global community of Explorers and scientists and Rolex’s Perpetual Planet Initiative in a commitment to the natural world — to capture Earth’s wild places and the people protecting them for generations to come.

Home to the largest hot desert on Earth, the deepest river and vast savannas, there is nowhere else like Africa. This seven-part series, almost four years in the making, captures more of the continent than ever before including new species, never-before-seen animal behaviours and dramatic stories of resilience and survival. Narrated by Academy-Award nominated actress, Wunmi Mosaku, the series takes viewers on a journey to the furthest, unexplored reaches of this amazing continent and meet the animals and conservationists that call it home. 

The event was attended by narrator and executive producer Wunmi Mosaku, BBC Studios NHU, Showrunner Gavin Boyland, and Rolex National Geographic Perpetual Planet Explorers

Following an introduction from host Angellica Bell, guests watched an exclusive preview of episode one and a look ahead at what’s to come across the rest of the series.
