Disney Developing New Series “LALA IRL”

Disney is developing a brand new live-action series called “LALA IRL’ for Disney+ and the Disney Channel, which will be based on the extraordinary true story of phenomenon controversial TikTok social media star Lala Sadii and goes behind the screens to tell the story of Lala’s extraordinary rise to social media stardom.

This new series tells the story of what happens before Lala became a social media superstar, Lala Sadii was just a girl trying to fit in like everyone else. But now, as millions hang on her every post, she’s got plenty to navigate: jealous classmates, intrigued friends who’d love just a little of her clout, concerned siblings, and strict parents who are absolutely going to lose their minds if they find out what she’s been up to.

This series is being developed by “Good Trouble” co-creator Peter Paige, who will be writing, executive producing and directing. Lauren Gellert and Billy Mann will also be executive producers. Sharon Levy and Lisa Fahrenholt will be executive producing for Endemol Shine North America. Lala will both star in the show and be an executive producer.

As with any show in development, creative changes can happen and it might not necessarily end up coming to our screens.
