Disney Crosses $10 Billion Box Office Record
Disney has had an incredible year at the box office, as they’ve just broken another record, being the first studio to reach $10 billion at the worldwide box office.
With an incredible line up of movies including Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel and Aladdin, which all hit over a billion each. Along with Frozen 2, Dumbo and Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil also adding to this total.
The number would be even higher if they included all the 20th Century Fox releases like Ford vs Ferrari, Ad Astra, X-Men: Dark Phoenix and others. Adding Fox titles, would push Disney’s total box office to $11.9 billion.
And Disney still have Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker to add to this years box office numbers, along with Spies In Disguise. With both Frozen 2 and The Rise Of Skywalker also expected to bring in over a billion each at the box office.
Currently the numbers break down to $3.28B domestic and $6.717B from the international box office.
We’ve already seen Endgame, Captain Marvel and Dumbo added for Disney+, with the other movies due to be added in 2020. This is a major reason Disney+ will continue to bring subscribers in, as these huge titles will only be available on Disney+.
