Disney has announced some new casting details for the upcoming second season of the anthology series, “Goosebumps”, which is based upon R.L Stine’s worldwide bestselling Scholastic series, which has over 400 million books in print across 32 languages.

The upcoming second season will feature a brand new cast and tells the story of Devin and Cece, fraternal twins adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.

It’s already been announced that “Friends” star, David Schwimmer will be starring in the series as Anthony, with Ana Ortiz (Jen), Sam McCarthy (Devin), Jayden Bartels (Cece), Elijah Cooper (CJ), Galilea La Salvia (Frankie) and Francesca Noel (Alex).

Disney has announced some new recurring cast members joining the Disney+ anthology series include Arjun Athalye (“Are You Afraid of the Dark?”) as Sameer, Eloise Payet (“The End of the Party”) as Hannah, Christopher Paul Richards (“The Kids Are Alright”) as Matty, Kyra Tantao (“ZOMBIES 3”) as Nicole — four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994, becoming a central secret to the present-day characters.  

The show also stars Stony Blyden (“American Born Chinese”) as Trey, Frankie’s boyfriend and Sakina Jaffrey (“Billions”) as Ramona, a mysterious woman.

“Goosebumps” is being developed by Nicholas Stoller (“The Muppets”) and Rob Letterman (“Pokémon:  Detective Pikachu”), who will serve as executive producers alongside showrunner Hilary Winston (“Community”), Neal H. Moritz (“Fast & Furious” franchise), Scholastic Entertainment’s Iole Lucchese (“Clifford the Big Red Dog”), Pavun Shetty (“The Boys”), Conor Welch (“Platonic”), Scholastic Entertainment’s Caitlin Friedman (“Stillwater”) and Erin O’Malley (“New Girl”).

You’ll find the first season of “Goosebump” available to stream now on Disney+.  No release details have been announced yet.
