Disney+ Adds New Christmas “Bluey” Minisode
To celebrate the holidays, Disney has released a brand new episode of “Bluey: Minisode”, which is a spin-off from the main show and follows Bluey, a lovable and inexhaustible blue heeler dog who lives with her Mum, Dad and little sister, Bingo.
“Bluey Shorts” is a collection of funny and sweet moments featuring Bluey & Bingo. Introducing some new characters alongside fan favourites, including Muffin doing an unboxing video, Dad getting a “tattoo,” and going behind the scenes at Bluey and Bingo’s dreamhouse.
In this new episode, called “Christmas Cricket”, Bluey and Bingo play a game of backyard cricket.

“Bluey” is one of the most popular shows on Disney+, and this new release is unexpected, as it wasn’t announced in advance and there hasn’t been a new short for a while.
Produced by the multiple Emmy Award-winning Ludo Studio for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and BBC Studios Kids & Family, the series airs and streams to U.S. and global audiences (outside of Australia, New Zealand and China) across Disney Channel, Disney Jr. and Disney+ through a global broadcasting deal between BBC Studios Kids & Family and Disney Branded Television.
“Bluey” has garnered awards, including a 2024 Peabody Award, 2024 and 2023 Television Critics Association Awards, an International Kids Emmy Award, BAFTA Children & Young People Awards and many more.
Previous episodes of “Bluey”, along with the spin-off short show, “Bluey: Minisodes”, are available to stream now on Disney+.
