Disney+ Adds 4K Versions Of Marvel’s “The Defenders” Saga Series
Earlier this year, Disney made a deal with Netflix, which saw the Marvel “Defenders” saga series removed from Netflix in February and later released on Disney+ in March in many countries, including the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK.
However, when the former Netflix Original series were released on Disney+, they weren’t available in 4K Ultra High Definition format. This upset some fans, as the series had been previously available on Netflix in 4K. Disney had confirmed that the series would eventually be available on Disney+ in a higher quality format.
Over the past couple of months, Disney has slowly been adding high quality 4K versions of the former Netflix Original series, and now all six shows are now available on Disney+ in 4K.
- Daredevil
- Iron Fist
- Luke Cage
- The Punisher
- Jessica Jones
- The Defenders
Later this month, the “Defenders” saga series will be released on Disney+ in multiple countries worldwide, so the update to a 4K version has arrived just in time.
Are you going to watch “The Defenders” in 4K on Disney+?
Happy news when I saw them being quietly added (just randomly checked one day).
Hi Roger. Thanks for the great update! Disney+ has just become available in Egypt yesterday and I immediately paid for an annual subscription. I was disappointed thought when I didn’t find Daredevil or any of the Netflix Marvel series available to stream on Disney+. Hopefully they will be available soon!
