Disney has recently announced details on its Disney+ presence at their D23 Expo event in late August, which include app demonstrations, prop display, panels and a showcase presentation.

One of the interesting announcements was that D23 Expo attendees and D23 Members will have the opportunity to subscribe to the service with a special offer.

For those attending the D23 Expo, this offer will be available to those that stop by the Disney+ Pavilion on the show floor.

The Disney+ Pavilion will offer guests demonstrations of the live Disney+ app as experienced across mobile and connected TV devices, showcasing the unprecedented collection of entertainment from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. Guests will also see costumes and props from Disney+ Originals.

Offering a special promotion to “die-hard” Disney fans makes a lot of sense to get Disney+ off the ground for launch, as they will be early adopters and help spread the word among friend, family and co-workers about the new streaming service.

No details have yet been revealed on what this promotional offer would be, such as a discounted rate or free month, but expect details to be revealed nearer the event.  It also isn’t yet clear if this offer will be open to all D23 General Members or just for D23 Gold Members.  D23 Gold Members pay $99 a year to be a member, which includes a quarterly magazine, special events and exclusive discounts.
