Disney has recently removed the National Geographic documentary, “Cradle of the Gods” from Disney+ in the United States and in the United Kingdom.

In the heart of South-Eastern Turkey, a team of international scientists have started uncovering a temple site known as Göbekli Tepe. Radiocarbon dating of the site tells us that it is 11,500 years old, making it around 9,000 years older than Stonehenge. Ground-penetrating radar is revealing a vast and spectacular temple complex, a place of worship of unprecedented scale.

Unlike other streaming services, Disney+ doesn’t advertise in advance when a title is going to be removed.

It’s not clear why the National Geographic title was removed.  It was created by Atlantic Productions and was originally released in 2012, so it’s possible that the streaming rights have expired, or it’s simply a mistake.

Recently, a number of National Geographic documentaries have been removed from Disney+ globally.  While some haven’t returned to Disney+, some titles have.  Making it impossible to predict if “Cradle Of The Gods” will be returning to Disney+.

What do you think of Disney+ removing titles?
