Brenda Song To Guest Star In “Shifting Gears”
Early next year, Disney is releasing a brand new comedy series, “Shifting Gears”, which stars Tim Allen as Matt, the stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s estranged daughter (Kat Dennings) and her kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.
Deadline has revealed the show will feature a “Dollface” reunion, as Brenda Song is going to be making a special guest appearance in the show. She will be playing the role of Caitlyn, a former high school classmate of Riley’s who is now the assistant principal of the school.
Brenda has previously starred in “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior” and “The Suite Life “.
“Shifting Gears” will also star Seann William Scott as Gabriel, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell as Stitch, Maxwell Simkins as Carter and Barrett Margolis as Georgia.
The upcoming show is set to premiere on ABC on Wednesday, 8th January 2025, at 8 pm on ABC, and it will be available to stream the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. The show is also expected to be released as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.
Tim Allen executive produces alongside Michelle Nader, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker, Rick Messina, John Pasquin, Jim Patterson, Bob Daily and John Amodeo. Pasquin also directed the pilot episode. Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully are executive producers on the pilot episode. Kat Dennings is a producer. The ABC series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
