“Bluey” Kicks Off 2025 Topping The Nielsen Streaming Chart

Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States from January 6th, 2025, to January 12th 2025. There are four different charts: Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies, and a combined total chart.

With the holidays over, there was a little reset on Disney+ for viewers as Christmas favourites like “Home Alone” and “Elf” slipped away from the trending chart as audiences returned to the old faithful movies like “Moana”.

Neither Disney+ nor Hulu has any major original shows in the top ten originals chart again this week, as “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” once again failed to get enough viewers to make the list in its final week, highlighting a major problem for Disney as this is the first Star War series never to get enough viewers to make the Nielsen chart.  Netflix was able to take the lion’s share of the original chart, with the new season of “Squid Game” continuing to do incredible numbers.

Disney continues to dominate the acquired and overall charts, with Disney’s biggest hits ” “Grey’s Anatomy”, Bob’s Burgers”, “Bluey”, “Lost” and “Family Guy”, making up the majority of these charts for Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.
