Disney has announced some of the cast for the upcoming South Korean Disney+ Original series, “Big Bet” formerly known as “King Of Savvy”, which will follow a man who struggles to achieve his goal of becoming a casino mogul, however is majorly set back after a chain of unfortunate events. The man begins to risk everything he has, including his own life, to get himself back on track.

The series is going to star, Sohn Seok-gu, Lee Dong-hwi, Choi Min-sik and Heo Sung-tae.

Choi Min-sik will be playing the series’ leading protagonist and it will be his first television role in approximately 26 years since the 1997 show “Love and Parting”.  He has also starred in a number of films including “Roaring Currents”, “Oldboy”, “I Saw The Devil” and more.

Sohn Seok-gu has previously starred in Netflix’s “My Liberation Notes” and “Romance Without Love”.

Heo Sung-tae, is probably more known for his role in the breakout smash-hit series, “Squid Game”, as well as The Silent Sea” and “Beyond Evil”.

“Big Bet” will be directed and written by Kang Yoon-seong, who is best known for the 2017 film “The Outlaws”. 

This series is scheduled to get a global release on Disney+ in the second half of this year.  Though no official release date has yet been confirmed.
