This December, Disney+ subscribers in the United States have some new films to look forward to watching, including a brand new holiday animated film and the premiere of the latest Indiana Jones film.

Here’s the rundown:

Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny

Daredevil archaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary dial that can change the course of history. Accompanied by his goddaughter, he soon finds himself squaring off against Jürgen Voller, a former Nazi who works for NASA. A behind the scenes documentary called “Timeless Heroes”, will also be released on the same day.

The latest “Indiana Jones” film arrives on Disney+ in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on December 1st 2023. And the film will be released in the UK and Ireland on December 15th.

The Shepherd

On Christmas Eve, a young Royal Air Force pilot flying home across the North Sea finds himself in peril when his radio and electric power cut out, leaving him stranded and running on limited fuel. Just when it appears his luck is about to run out, a mysterious good Samaritan guides him to safety. The film stars Ben Radcliffe, Steven Mackintosh and Academy Award Nominee John Travolta.

“The Shepherd” is going to be released on Disney+ globally on Friday 1st December 2023.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever

The winter holidays are turning out to be especially stressful for Greg Heffley this year. After accidentally damaging a snowplow while making a snowman with best friend Rowley Jefferson, Greg worries he won’t get the new video game console he so desperately wants for Christmas. To make matters worse, he gets snowed in with his family, including his grumpy older brother Rodrick and annoying younger brother Manny.

The third animated “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” film will arrive on Disney+ worldwide on Friday 8th December 2023.

The Mission

In 2018, a shocking event made headlines around the world: a young American missionary, John Chau, was killed by arrows while attempting to contact one of the world’s most isolated Indigenous peoples on remote North Sentinel Island.

“The Mission”, which uncovers the gripping story beyond the headlines. Through exclusive interviews and with unprecedented access to Chau’s secret plans, personal diaries, and video archives, “The Mission” examines the mythology of exploration that inspired him, the evangelical community that supported his quest, and reveals his own father’s heartbreak as Chau’s youthful thirst for adventure became a fatal obsession.

This National Geographic documentary will arrive on Disney+ in the US on Friday, 8th December 2023
