This coming October, Disney is bringing a selection of new films and specials onto Disney+ in the United States, including some new additions for Halloween, including the brand new “Haunted Mansion” film.

Here’s the rundown:

Haunted Mansion

Inspired by the classic theme park attraction, Walt Disney Pictures’ “Haunted Mansion” is about a woman and her son who enlist a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural squatters.

“Haunted Mansion” arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday, 4th October 2023

Mrs Doubtfire

Loving but irresponsible dad Daniel Hillard, estranged from his exasperated spouse, is crushed by a court order allowing only weekly visits with his kids. When Daniel learns his ex needs a housekeeper, he gets the job — disguised as a British nanny. Soon he becomes not only his children’s best pal but the kind of parent he should have been from the start.

“Mrs Doubtfire” returns to Disney+ on Friday, 6th October 2023

Marvel Studios’ Werewolf By Night in Color

Now presented in vibrant color, Marvel Studios’ “Werewolf by Night in Color” takes place on a dark and somber night as a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic—a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster. Inspired by horror films of the 1930s and 1940s, the chilling special aims to evoke a sense of dread and the macabre, with plenty of suspense and scares along the way as we explore a new corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney is releasing the this new colourised version on Disney+ on Friday, 20th October 2023

LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red 

The Avengers assemble to save New York City, but after an argument between Black Widow and her father Red Guardian about his parenting style, he disappears under mysterious circumstances. As the Avengers investigate, they discover that the villainous Collector is kidnapping every character who has the word “red” in their name. Determined to find her father, it’s up to Black Widow now to lead the Avengers to find the Collector’s evil lair and free the prisoners from his evil clutches.

This all new animated special is coming to Disney+ on Friday, 27th October 2023

Mickey & Friends Trick Or Treats

In this new Halloween stop-motion special, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy are trick-or-treating when Donald spies the spookiest mansion he’s ever seen and assumes it has the best treats. After he convinces his friends to risk a visit, the owner, Witch Hazel, casts a spell that turns them into their costumes. The special features new original music from Emmy Award-nominated songwriter Beau Black (“The Lion Guard”).

This new animated special is coming to Disney+ on Monday, 2nd October 2023.

Explorer: Lake Of Fire

In 2001, satellite imagery captured a mysterious “thermal anomaly” on an unexplored volcano at the ends of the Earth. What lies inside could provide new clues to help predict volcanic eruptions around the globe. But the island is so remote. With conditions that are so extreme. No one has ever been able to reach the top to investigate what lies inside.. until now.

This new National Geographic special is coming to Disney+ on Friday, 27th October 2023.

Bobi Wine: The People’s President

Ugandan opposition leader, activist and musical star Bobi Wine uses his music to fight the regime led by Yoweri Museveni, who’s led the country for 35 years, and runs in the 2021 presidential election.
