“Best Medicine” Renewed For A Second Season
FOX has announced that it has renewed the hit drama series, “Best Medicine” for a second season, which will be coming out during the 2026/2027 season on the FOX channel, along with Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.
The series centres on Dr Martin Best (Josh Charles), a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child with his Aunt Sarah (Annie Potts). There, he encounters an eclectic group of townspeople, including schoolteacher Louisa Gavin (Abigail Spencer), Sheriff Mark Mylow (Josh Segarra) and his assistant Elaine Denton (Cree).
Martin’s blunt, no-nonsense bedside manner quickly alienates the quirky locals, even though he is the only doctor they have. While he can expertly diagnose any medical mystery, he struggles with a debilitating new phobia and childhood trauma that make intimacy difficult. In a town defined by tenacity and heart, the very people Martin pushes away may ultimately be exactly what he needs.
The new season will consist of 12 new episodes and is an American remake of the British series, “Doc Martin”. The series is produced by FOX Entertainment Studios and executive produced by Ben Silverman, Rodney Ferrell, Howard T. Owens, Mark Crowdy, and Philippa Braithwaite. Liz Tuccillo serves as both executive producer and showrunner.
“Best Medicine” is distributed worldwide by FOX Entertainment Global.

We, along with Propogate, are excited to build on that momentum in Season Two.”
The first season is currently airing on FOX/Hulu/Hulu On Disney+, with new episodes released each week.
