Ben Younger To Direct “The Company You Keep” Pilot
20th Television is currently developing a new pilot for ABC called “The Company You Keep”, which will star Milo Ventimiglia, William Fichtner and Catherine Haena Kim.
The series is about what happens when a night of passion leads to love between con-man Charlie (Ventimiglia) and undercover CIA officer Emma, who are unknowingly on a collision course professionally. While Charlie ramps up the ‘family business’ so he can get out for good, Emma’s closing in on the vengeful criminal who holds Charlie’s family debts in-hand — forcing them to reckon with the lies they’ve told so they can save themselves and their families from disastrous consequences.”
According to Deadline, Ben Younger has joined the project to direct the pilot and will also be an executive producer on the project. Ben Younger has previously directed the first two episodes of the FX series, “SnowFall”, along with the film, “Bleed For This”.
The series is based on a Korean series, “My Fellow Citizens”. It is being written by Julia Cohen, who has previously worked on “Riverdale”, “The Royals” and “A Million Little Things”. She will also be an executive producer alongside Russ Cundiff. Jon M. Chu, Todd Harthan, Caitlin Foito and Lindsay Goffman. Deanna Harris will produce the series.
Should the pilot be picked up for a series, we should expect to see it released on Hulu and ABC in the US and as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.
