Beau Willimon To Write “Star Wars: Dawn Of The Jedi” Movie
At last year’s Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm announced that it was developing a brand new movie, which will go back to the dawn of the Jedi and explore the origins of The Force. The new movie is set around 25,000 years before the events of the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
It was also announced that James Mangold would be directing the upcoming Star Wars film. James has previously directed “Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny”, “Ford Vs Ferrari” and “Logan”.
Recently, the THR has revealed that the working title for this new movie is “Star Wars: Dawn Of The Jedi”, and Beau Willimon has been brought onto the project to co-write the film with James Mangold.
Beau Willimon has previously worked on Netflix’s “House Of Cards” and Hulu’s “The Great.” He also has some experience working on Star Wars projects, having been a writer on the Disney+ Original series “Andor,” where he wrote three episodes in the first season.
No release date has been announced for “Star Wars: Dawn Of The Jedi”, but it is one of multiple projects currently in development, which include multiple films, with “Mandalorian & Grogu” arriving in cinemas on May 22nd 2024, followed by a movie set after the events of “The Rise Of Skywalker”, with Daisy Ridley returning as Rey. There are also films in development by Taika Waititi, Patty Jenkins and Dave Filoni.
Multiple Disney+ shows are also in development, including “Skeleton Crew” and “The Acolyte”, plus second seasons of “Andor” and “Ahsoka”.
