On Earth Day, Disneynature is releasing a brand new film, “Polar Bear”, on Disney+, which tells the story of a new mother whose memories of her own youth prepare her to navigate motherhood in the increasingly challenging world that polar bears face today.

Disney has recently announced a new behind-the-scenes documentary on “Polar Bear” called “Bear Witness” will also be released on the same day, Friday 22nd April 2022.

“Bear Witness” journeys alongside the filmmakers behind Disneynature’s “Polar Bear” as they face profound challenges 300 miles from the North Pole. The team, who created a revolutionary arctic camp on-site, navigated virtually impassible snowdrifts and tenuous sea ice, garnering unprecedented footage revealing adaptive behaviours that surprised even this veteran team of filmmakers

Disney has previously released making-of-videos for previous DisneyNature films, “Elephant”, “Penguins” and “Dolphin’s Reef”.
