Did you know that America’s National Parks have an entire department dedicated to solving all serious crimes committed in their parks? No, well thanks to ABC Studios and A&E Networks, you soon will know all about it.  The Disney-owned network(producing with 20th Television) has handed a pilot order to its untitled national parks project.

A previously announced series was initially co-penned by Kevin Costner but both networks have moved on from that version of the drama.

Rashad Raisani, known for his work on the Fox drama series “9-11 Lonestar”, will write and executive produce this brand new take.  A+E Studios’ Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson will also be executive producing the series.

The series has been described as soap opera-like procedural set in America’s national parks. It revolves around the lives of agents who work for the ISB, the elite law-enforcement unit responsible for solving all serious crimes within the protected land of America’s National Parks.

Should this pilot be given the go-ahead to be made in a series, expect to see the series on ABC and Hulu in the United States, in addition to being released internationally as a Star Original on Disney+.
