Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States from May 12th, 2025, to May 18th 2025. There are four different charts: Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies, and a combined total chart.

With the release of the final batch of new episodes of the second season of “Andor: A Star Wars Story”, the show topped both the Originals and Overall charts, highlighting why the three-episode binge drop format helps with the Nielsen chart, especially with Netflix’s binge drops picking up huge numbers of minutes viewed.   “Andor” would also have benefited from its longer episodes and the fact that a first season is already available to viewers, all of which helped boost its overall viewership count.

The success of “Andor” also boosted the viewership of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”, as the show leads directly into the movie.

The second season of “Secret Lives Of Mormon Lives” also debuted this week on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+, making both the original and overall charts.

The final season of “The Handmaid’s Tale” continues to perform well, making the originals chart, while “Moana 2” also continues to pull in decent viewership numbers on Disney+.

Disney continues to dominate the acquired and overall charts, with Disney’s biggest hits “Grey’s Anatomy”, “The Rookie”, “Bluey”, “Criminal Minds” and “Family Guy”, making up the majority of these charts for Hulu and Hulu On Disney+, with “Grey’s Anatomy” topping the acquired chart once again.   “Moana 2” also continued to pull in audiences in the movie category.
