Searchlight Pictures has begun principal photography this week in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on the new horror thriller film called “Dust”, which is set in 1930s Oklahoma. It follows a woman who, during the region’s increasingly perilous dust storms, is convinced that a sinister presence is threatening her family.

This new film is going to star Sarah Paulson, Annaleigh Ashford and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
The film is directed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse, who has also written the script.

According to Variety, Amiah Miller and Bill Heck have joined the cast.

Amiah Miller has previously starred in the 20th Century Studios “War for the Planet of the Apes” and Bill Heck has recently starred in “I’m Your Woman”, FX’s “The Old Man” and “Locke & Key”.

Sarah Paulson, Alix Madigan and Lucas Joaquin are producing the film. With SVP, Acquisitions & Production Chan Phung, Director of Development Zahra Phillips, and Creative Affairs Manager Daejione Jones are overseeing for Searchlight Pictures, reporting to Heads of Production and Development DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.

“Dust” will be released on Disney’s streaming services, including as a Hulu Original in the US and is expected to be released as a Star Original on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ internationally, though this hasn’t yet been announced.
