20th Television is developing a brand new half-hour comedy series called “Worst House On The Block”.

This new series is going to be written by Niki Schwartz-Wright, who has previously been a co-executive producer on “Pivoting” and “Abby’s”.  She has also worked on “Speechless”, “The Office”, and “The Goldbergs”.

The show will be directed by Natalia Anderson, who has recently worked on the Hulu/Star Original comedy series, “Maggie”, along with the hit shows “Grown-ish” and “Black-ish”.Natalia will also be an executive producer with 3 Arts’ Oly Obst.

According to Deadline, “Worst House on the Block” has a “Beverly Hillbillies” vibe to it. In the show, when a poor family from South Texas inherits the worst house on the block in a chic L.A. neighborhood, they cause quite a stir among their new neighbors. Tensions may flare, but ultimately, we’ll watch as three different families, with nothing in common but their ZIP code and how overwhelmed they feel by the sheer number of Love Island episodes there are to watch, start to find common ground and, slowly but surely, friendship.

This series is being created for ABC and Hulu in the United States.   Expect to see this new series released on Disney+ internationally as a Star Original.
