Disney’s Hulu has acquired the US streaming rights to the British comedy, “Am I Being Unreasonable?”, which is a twisted comedy thriller about obsessive friendship, maternal paranoia – and a dead cat. Daisy May Cooper’s brilliantly warped tale about just how quickly lives can unravel.

Written by and starring Daisy May Cooper who has previously starred in “This Country“, “Avenue 5” and “The Witchfinder” and Selin Hizli, who has also starred in “Mum”.  It also stars BAFTA award winner Jessica Hynes (There She Goes), Dustin Demri-Burns (Cardinal Burns, The Great), Amanda Wilkin (The Split ), David Fynn (Game of Thrones), Juliet Cowan (Back to Life), Ruben Catt (Ted’s Top Ten), and Karla Crome (Under the Dome).

Filmed in Bristol and around the West Country, the binge-worthy first series saw Nic grieving a loss she couldn’t share with anyone. Only her son Ollie (Lenny Rush), who she adores, kept her going. When Jen (Hizli) arrived in town with her son Harry (Reuben Catt), she found a kindred spirit, and soon Nic’s dark secret started to bubble over.

It’s also recently been recommissioned for a second season.  “Am I Being Unreasonable” was a Boffola Pictures and Lookout Point co-production for the BBC, created and written by Daisy May Cooper & Selin Hizli and commissioned by Jon Petrie, Director of BBC Comedy. The Producer was Pippa Brown (The Other One, Psychobitches), the Director was Jonny Campbell (Phoenix Nights, Eric & Ernie) and the Executive Producers were Shane Allen, Jonny Campbell, Daisy May Cooper, Kate Daughton, Selin Hizli & Jack Thorne. Tanya Qureshi, Head of BBC Comedy, was the Commissioning Editor for the BBC.

The BBC has created the six-episode series, and it will debut as a Hulu Original on April 11th.
