To tie in with the release of the first two episodes of the new Star Wars series, “Ahsoka”, arriving on Disney+ on Wednesday, 23rd August 2023, Disney has announced that Ahsoka will be making special guest appearances at Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort in California from the same date.

Galaxy’s Edge is a unique land that transports guests to the remote planet of Batuu, full of unique sights, sounds, smells and tastes. Guests can become part of the story as they sample galactic food and beverages, explore an intriguing collection of merchant shops and take the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Guests can also go on the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction, which is the most ambitious, immersive and advanced attraction ever imagined, which will place guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance and will blur the lines between fantasy and reality.

It’s unknown how long Ahsoka will be making appearances at Disneyland, but with the show running for seven weeks, it’s likely Ahsoka will be making special appearances for at least that long. Disney has also previously had Mandalorian and Grogu make appearances at Galaxy’s Edge. It’s unknown if Ahsoka will also be making appearances at Galaxy’s Edge in Walt Disney World, due to there being some more restrictions in place due to the storyline that is part of the Star Wars: Galatic Cruiser (which is due to close next month).

The new series is set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

The show will star Rosario Dawson in the title role, along with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.
