Later this year, Marvel Studios will be releasing a brand new live-action series, “Agatha All Along”, which will see Kathryn Hahn reprise her fan-favourite role of Westview’s resident Darkhold reader, Agatha.

No plot details on the upcoming “Agatha” series have been revealed yet.  The new series stars Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata and Ali Ahn. The show will also star Emma Caulfield Ford, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Okwui Okpokwasili.

Recently, Marvel Studios Head of TV and Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, appeared on the Official Marvel Podcast. He gave fans a tease about the upcoming show:

“It’s really fun, but it’s really scary and it gets quite dramatic. [Agatha] is an amazing anti-hero. [It] lures you in with the fun of Halloween and before you know it, you’re crying too.”

The first two episodes of “Agatha All Along” will premiere on Disney+ around the world on September 18th 2024, with a new episode being released each week afterwards, with the finale arriving around Halloween time, which has been timed perfectly for the tone of the show.

“[Agatha All Along] is Marvel’s brand of scary. It’s a Halloween show. there are deadly stakes in this series. It’s a fun ride, but it’s a dangerous one.”

Later this month, Marvel Studios will return to Hall H for a presentation at the San Diego Comic-Con. The studio will also participate in a studio showcase presentation at the D23: Ultimate Fan Event in August, where we will likely receive more of an update and teaser trailer for this new Disney+ show.

Roger’s POV:   The timing of releasing a show about witches in the build-up to Halloween is just perfect synergy and makes total sense.  Hopefully, it won’t be too long until we learn more about this series!
