Disney’s ABC Signature Studios is developing a new limited series called “Under The Bridge”, which is based on Rebecca Godfrey’s book, which traces the events surrounding the 1997 murder of fourteen-year-old Reena Virk by eight of her peers, in an account based on six years of research and interviews with the accused that offers insight into the social tensions that provoked the crime and the minds of teenage killers.

The new limited series will be executive produced by Samir Mehta and Liz Tigelaar, who will also serve as showrunners on the series. They have an overall deal with ABC and are currently working on the new Hulu/Star Original “Tiny Beautiful Things”.

Quinn Shephard is adapting the book and has previously written and directed the Searchlight Pictures film, “Not Okay”. Rebecca Godfrey and Stacey Silverman will be executive producers on the show. As will, Geeta Vasant Patel, who will also direct the series. Getta has previously directed episodes of HBO’s “House Of The Dragon” plus “Runaways”, “The Great”, and more.

Hulu has ordered the eight-episode limited series and it’s likely we will see the series also released internationally as a Star Original on Disney+.
