ABC & FX To Broadcast First Episode Of Hulu’s “Paradise”
Later this month, Disney is releasing a brand new political thriller, “Paradise”, which is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquillity explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds.
“Paradise” will premiere with the first three episodes on Tuesday, 28th January 2025, followed by a weekly release of new episodes on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.
To help launch the new show, Disney is also going to air the first episode of “Paradise” on ABC and FX. The first episode will air on ABC on January 29th, 2025, at 10 p.m., while the same episode will also air on FX on February 1st, 2025, at 10 p.m.
The new series stars Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin and Percy Daggs IV.
Dan Fogelman, Sterling K. Brown, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, John Hoberg, Jess Rosenthal, and Steve Beers executive produced the show, which is the 20th Television production.
Roger’s Take: Over the past few years, we’ve seen Disney try a similar strategy of airing the first episode of a new show a few weeks later to try to drum up additional interest and it does make sense, to reach the more traditional linear audience, who might not realise the show is going to be released on Hulu and Disney+. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Disney eventually runs the entire show on ABC or FX, as it’s been doing that more often with its hit shows.
