Disney has announced that its hit comedy series, “Abbott Elementary”, is going to be returning for its third season on Wednesday, 7th February 2024, with a one-hour special premiere at 9 pm on ABC, and it will be available the following day on Hulu on Disney+ and Hulu in the United States.
The series is also released internationally as a Star Original on Disney+, but no release details have been announced yet. As with previous seasons, Disney held all the episodes until they could drop them all at once, though hopefully, Disney decides to release the latest season globally.
With the writer’s strike ending at the end of September, work began writing the show’s third season, which will have fewer episodes than the second season. With the actor’s strike now over, filming can resume on the comedy series, to get the episodes turned around before the premiere in February.
In this workplace comedy, a group of dedicated, passionate teachers—and a slightly tone-deaf principal—are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.
“Abbott Elementary” stars Quinta Brunson as Janine Teagues, Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti and Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard. Quinta Brunson serves as writer and executive producer alongside Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker of Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions.
The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and 20th Television.
The first two seasons of “Abbott Elementary” are available to stream now on Hulu and Max in the United States. The series will also be coming to Disney+ in the United States in December as part of the launch of Hulu On Disney+. Internationally, the series is also available on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+.
