A Look At The Disney+ Experience At Fan Expo Canada

A special Disney+ pop-up experience has been thrilling guests at this weekend’s Fan Expo in Toronto, Canada, to promote some of the biggest hits on the streaming platform including “Alien: Earth”, “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” and many more.

The Disney+ experience included a Throwback area, featuring many well-known shows like “The Cheetah Girls”, “Hannah Montana”, “Lizzie McGuire” and “High School Musical”.  There was a selection of lockers of these Disney characters, and their sports memorabilia.

Four people at a time were brought into the front of the line, and would be quizzed on who the retro Disney teens in the pics above lockers were.

They’d “radio through” that those answering were possible aliens, and so once through the “secret door” behind lockers, you were in an Alien crash site. You’d get scanned by the staff, before proceeding on to a fellow who’d introduce the work of Prodigy Corp, and tell you that rumours floating about were fake news, before giving a sticker. You could then walk through the fuselage.

In the next area, it was a highly customised taxi and a themed diner from the “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” show,. In the diner, you sit at the counter while they tell you about the various Greek gods and then they hand out coins. Around the diner, there are framed objects, which were likely props from the show since it’s made in Canada.

There was also a separate booth, with a photo opportunity of the Tron lightcycle and a VR experience.
