“LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian” Coming Soon To Disney+
Earlier this week, Disney revealed details on the schedule for its upcoming D23: Ultimate Fan Event, which takes place in Anaheim, California, from August 14th through to the 16th.
One of those panels was a special screening of a new LEGO Star Wars animated special, but we didn’t know what that short was until now.
Disney has revealed that this new special is called “LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian” and it will be coming to Disney+ on September 2nd 2026.
This new special will be filled with unexpected laughs and action-packed fun. This new animated galactic adventure celebrates your favourite stories and characters from all three seasons of The Mandalorian series, making it perfect for Star Wars and LEGO fans of all ages.
A poster for the special has also been released, giving us a first look at Din Djarin and baby Grogu’s very first meeting.
The LEGO Star Wars screening event will take place on Saturday, 15th August, 2026, on the Hyperion Stage at 10 am, where guests will experience a special screening of an all-new LEGO Star Wars animated adventure filled with iconic characters, unexpected laughs, and action-packed fun. The screening event will be perfect for Star Wars and LEGO fans of all ages.
This isn’t the first LEGO animated special featuring Star Wars characters, as we’ve seen many different releases over the year, including “Terrifying Tales”, “All Stars” and “Rebuild The Galaxy”. All of which are available to stream now on Disney+.
The timing of the release of the special is interesting, as Disney also just confirmed the latest Star Wars film, “The Mandalorian & Grogu”, will be coming to digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango, on July 21st 2026, and on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on August 25th 2026. Likely meaning the movie will drop onto Disney+ either just before the new LEGO special drops onto Disney+, or maybe even at the same time!
