Hulu Developing New Yacht Rocker Comedy “Double Or Nothing”
Disney’s 20th Television is working on a new pilot for a yacht rocker comedy series called “Double Or Nothing” for Hulu/Disney+.
The pilot will tell the story of a washed-up yacht rocker who gets a second chance at greatness when he teams up with a hungry young rapper to make the album of both of their lives. It’s a half-hour comedy about getting it right the second time around.
According to Deadline, this new project will be written by Theodore Bressman and Neel Shah, who will also be executive producers with Mark Ronson, Peter Rosenberg, Brandon Creed & Mikey Schwartz-Wright for Good World Productions and Bryan Diperstein for Adventure Media.
Theodore Bressman has previously worked with Hulu on “Pam & Tommy” and “Future Man”, in addition to “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Sausage Party: Foodtopia”. While Neel Shah has previously worked on 20th Television’s “Nobody Wants This”.
As with any pilot, this is a project still in development, and it could still go through some creative changes before getting a series order, should Hulu decide to move forward on the project. As with most shows from 20th Television, we should also expect to see the show, should it get greenlit, also released on Disney+ internationally.
