Marvel Reveals “VisionQuest” Is Coming To Disney+ In 2026

In perhaps one of the worst-kept secrets in Hollywood, Marvel has officially announced that a new series called “VisionQuest” will be coming to Disney+ in 2026.

This series will conclude the trilogy that began with “WandaVision” and continued with last year’s “Agatha All Along”.

The announcement was made during Marvel’s panel at New York Comic Con, where Head of Marvel Television and Marvel Animation Brad Winderbaum ended the panel with one final surprise, confirming that “VisionQuest” will be coming to Disney+ in 2026.

He was joined by MCU veteran Paul Bettany, who talked about reuniting with James Spader’s Ultron, who will be reprising his role from 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. before sharing an exclusive look at the series with those in attendance.

“What’s different about Vision right now is that Red Vision gave Vision all of his memories, including the memories from within the Hex. But White Vision is having real difficulty connecting to them.  So he has the memories, but he doesn’t have the emotions and the feelings, and I think that’s what the journey is. White Vision’s journey during the show is about his attempt to connect to those memories and who he was… but with lasers!”

Brad Winderbaum also revealed if “VisionQuest” will play with genres in the way “WandaVision” did with sitcoms,

“The less we say, the better.  But what I will say about Terry’s vision for the show is that he knows the lore. So if you’ve been following the MCU all these years, you’re going to be very, very, very rewarded.”

Some key cast members, including Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E, Jonathan Sayer as U, James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., and Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., were revealed in the show.  The footage shown to attendees ended with a shot of Ruaridh Mollica, appearing in a CC-TV recording where he’s identified as Thomas Shepherd, aka the reborn version of Tommy, aka Speed, who is the brother of Wiccan.

“VisionQuest” has been created by Terry Matalas, who previously worked on “Star Trek: Picard” and “12 Monkeys”.

Roger’s Take:   It’s great to see Disney has officially confirmed “VisionQuest” is happening, but it’s also interesting that Marvel is calling this the conclusion to the “WandaVision” trilogy.  It’s likely some of these characters, like Speed and White Vision, will appear in other shows (ie Champions/Young Avengers”).  While Marvel has said it will arrive on Disney+ in 2026, I wouldn’t be surprised if this gets the “Wonder Man” treatment and it gets a delay into 2027 to help spread out their live-action releases.
