Marvel’s “Thunderbolts*” Disney+ Release Date Announced
Disney has announced that the latest movie from Marvel Studios, “Thunderbolts*”, will be coming to Disney+ later this summer on August 27th 2025.
The Thunderbolts are The New Avengers, the ultimate surprise to audiences as this misfit team of burned assets rallies their powers and unites against all odds. Their namesake movie “Thunderbolts*” is an action-packed adventure, with audiences embracing the film’s super-powered humour and adrenaline.
The film assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes with Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker. After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission. Forced to confront the darkest corners of their pasts, will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite before it’s too late?
“Thunderbolts*” stars Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, Wendell Edward Pierce, with David Harbour, with Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
It was directed by Jake Schreier and was produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, and Jason Tamez, who also served as executive producers.
The movie was released in cinemas on May 1st 2025, and this means it will have taken 118 days to go from theatres to Disney+, which is a few weeks more than more major releases.
