According to Deadline, Disney and ABC have started work on a new romantic anthology series called “Epic”, which is being created by talent from the ABC smash hit series “Once Upon A Time” including one of the shows writers Brigette Hales, along with creators/executive producers/showrunners Eddy Kitsis & Adam Horowitz.

The series takes place in the fairy tale universe of Disney and will be set in a Disney-like Enchanted Forest.  “Epic” will created a whole new set of characters including heroes, villains, princes, princesses and magical beings. It will still pay homage to the classic signposts from the stories we grew up with.

ABC Signature Studios is making “Epic” and the studio is also making multiple Disney+ series including “Prop Culture”, “Ink & Paint” and “Pick of the Litter”, which is coming to Disney+ later this week.

And with this series being set in Disney Universe, it would make sense for the series to also be part of the Disney+ Original lineup, but we will have to wait for an official announcement.
