Currently there are three new live action Star Wars series officially confirmed for Disney+, one based on Obi-Wan Kenobi, another is a prequel to Rogue One featuring Captain Cassian Andor and K2SO and The Mandalorian, which will have its first episode available on November 12th.

And if three new Star Wars series wasn’t enough, a new series is currently being reported by “Star Wars Unity”, which will be a spin-off from Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Due to the poor box office results for Solo, a direct sequel doesn’t look to be on the cards but this new series will apparently focus on the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate, which is led by Darth Maul, rather than continue the story of Lando, Han Solo and Chewbacca.

However, with more people watching the movie since its been released on home video and streaming services, the general feedback to the movie has improved, even resulting in the hashtag #MakeSolo2Happen trending a while ago.

And with both the Rogue One prequel and Obi-Wan series set around the same time period as “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, it could offer opportunities for crossovers.

The next Star Wars movie isn’t due to be released in cinemas until 2022 and with more unannounced Star Wars series due to hit the new streaming service, a spin-off from “Solo” makes sense.  But of course, this still needs to be treated as a rumor and might not come to anything.

Would you like to see a Solo spin-off series?
