20th Television is developing a new pilot for Hulu called “Group Chat”, which is a new satirical comedy that is loosely inspired by Anthony’s bestseller “The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness”.

“Group Chat” tells the story of five fly, successful women in their 40s who have conquered L.A. and seemingly have it all. But behind their picture perfect lives is a secret group chat where the real drama unfolds. In their world, the truth is messier, more unfiltered, and juicier than anyone could imagine.

According to Deadline, the pilot is going to star La La Anthony, who will also be an executive producer along with Kim Kardashian, who has a first-look deal with Disney.

“Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris will also be an executive producer and the new series is going to be co-produced with BET Studios, where Kenya is a principal partner. Other executive producers include Adam Kassan via Khalabo Ink Society.

As with other pilots in development, should the project get picked up for a full series, it will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and likely as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally.

No other details on who is going to star in the pilot, nor when production will begin.
