20th Television is developing a brand new drama series with Dan Fogelman, the creator of “This Is Us.” It is apparently going to be a sprawling drama set inside the world of the NFL with a generational family component.

According to Deadline, this NFL drama series doesn’t have a name, and no official details, such as a synopsis, release date or cast, have been revealed.

Dan Fogelman has an overall deal with 20th Television. He is also a producer on the hit series Only Murders In The Building and is creating a new series called Paradise with Sterling K. Brown. Dan is also not a stranger to creating sports-themed shows, as he previously created “Pitch,” which was made with the cooperation of the MLB.

The NFL is expected to be prominently featured in the new series, but it’s unclear how that will work.

This deal has apparently taken a little longer to sort out, since this project will also be developed with Skydance Sports, which has a joint venture with NFL Films to create a production studio for scripted and unscripted content.

Other executive producers on the project include Jess Rosenthal of Rhode Island Ave. Productions, with David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed for Skydance Sports.

As with his other recent shows, the new “NFL” drama series is set to be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.
