“Dancing With The Stars” is returning to our screens this Fall, but unfortunately, Witney Carson will not be returning as a professional dancer in the thirty-second season.  She made the announcement on social media over the weekend saying,

“This was not a decision that we took lightly at all. But we will not be doing Dancing With the Stars this season. And as much as that pains me to say, I just feel very at peace with it.”

The mother of two also explained that she doesn’t feel like “moving our entire family across the country right now was not for us,”.    She also explained that she’s just not in the right place right now for a return to the ballroom following the birth of her recent child.

“I also feel like I’m not quite mentally and physically ready for what the show calls for,” Carson added. “I definitely think this is just a break. I hope it’s not a goodbye. But for now, we will be their number one cheerleader watching.”

Witney joined the show back in 2014, and last year, she came third following a partnership with actor and comedian, Wayne Brady, (who is also currently filming his own reality show for Hulu).

“Dancing with the Stars” is the hit series co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough in which celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. The show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.

This year’s season will be a little different to previous seasons, as many well-known faces, including Tyra Banks, Mark Ballas and Cheryl Burke, won’t be returning, nor will former head judge Len Goodman, who sadly passed away earlier this year after retiring from the show the previous season.

“Dancing With The Stars” will once again be returning to ABC Primetime, in addition to being live-streamed on Disney+ and available to stream on Hulu the following day.
