When Is “Karate Kid: Legends” Released?

“Karate Kid: Legends” is out now exclusively in cinemas. Following its theatrical release, it will then be released on digital platforms like Apple, Amazon and Vudu to purchase/rent before being released on physical media formats like DVD and Blu-Ray.

When Will “Karate Kid: Legends” Be On Disney+?

Since Sony Pictures is releasing the movie, it won’t automatically come to Disney+ following its theatrical and digital release.

Instead, in the United States, “Karate Kid: Legends” will be heading to Netflix first as part of a multi-year Pay One deal for around eighteen months.    Disney does have a multi-year Pay Two licensing deal that covers Sony’s theatrical releases from 2022 to 2026 for Disney’s vast portfolio of platforms, including its streaming services Disney+ and Hulu, as well as linear entertainment networks including ABC, Disney Channels, Freeform, FX and National Geographic.

This means that “Karate Kid: Legends” will likely arrive on Disney+ and Hulu around two years after the movie’s theatrical release, which will be around May/June 2027. However, no exact Disney+ release has been announced yet, and it isn’t likely for a couple of years.

Internationally, things are a little less complicated, as Disney has licensed some “Spider-Man” films; however, Disney+ generally doesn’t have many licensed movies from Sony.
