Disney added a Halloween collection to the Disney+ home page this week and it’s had a huge impact on the trending chart, with “Hocus Pocus” shooting straight up the charts into second place, with a few other Halloween movies also sliding into the top 25.
The US also had “Maleficent” added to Disney+ on Thursday, which also resulted in its sequel getting some more views as that slid into the top 25.
Pixar’s “Onward” was finally released on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland this past Friday, which is why this film has had a huge boost up the trending charts. The trending chart can vary between countries, since some titles aren’t available or have other content which isn’t available in the US, but they are usually all very similar since the overall global viewing numbers must be taken into account.
Disney doesn’t provide actual viewing numbers for Disney+, so this chart is based off the Trending section on my Disney+ app on Sunday morning. Numbers within brackets indicate last weeks spot on the trending chart.
