What’s New On Disney+ | The Shape Of Water (UK/Ireland)
It’s Friday, and time to take a look at what’s new on Disney+ today in the UK and Ireland, which includes a brand new documentary and much more.
Here’s the rundown:
Leave No Trace
“Leave No Trace” investigates the century-long cover-up by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to conceal pedophiles that were in their ranks and how their secret “perversion files” would eventually lead to the financial downfall and bankruptcy of the organization. The film looks at 70 years of abuse, told through first-hand accounts of survivors still trying to cope with their lives today and their crusade for justice. Interviews and taped depositions with former BSA leadership set a revealing account of how America’s largest youth organization failed to protect the very boys entrusted to them, leaving a wreckage of human lives in its wake. The BSA filed for bankruptcy in February of 2020. Since then, over 82,000 men have come forward with claims of abuse. The proposed reorganization plan for the BSA would include the largest sexual abuse settlement in history, dwarfing even that of the U.S. Catholic Church.
Smoky Mountain Park Rangers
Park Rangers work to protect and manage black bears and other animals in Great Smoky Mountain National Park as they prepare for the coming of winter.
The Shape Of Water
Elisa, a lonely janitor, stumbles upon an amphibious creature that is held captive in a secret research facility. She then develops a unique relationship with the creature.
What Happens in Vegas
Two strangers who drunkenly got married in Vegas fight over a huge jackpot after having their annulment denied by a judge.
The Darkest Hour
Five young people find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack.
A Walk in the Clouds
In this visually stunning film, a disillusioned WWII vet’s (Keanu Reeves) life takes a surprising turn when he poses as the husband of the daughter of a domineering vineyard owner.
Joy Ride
Two brothers on a cross-Country driving trip make the mistake of playing a practical joke on a mentally deranged trucker, and pay dearly for the prank when he becomes a homicidal stalker.
