This week, Disney+ subscribers in the United Kingdom and Ireland have plenty of new content to enjoy including the latest movie from Searchlight Pictures, plus a brand new original drama series, which is safe to start since it’s just been renewed for a second season.

Here’s the rundown:

High Potential

“High Potential” follows a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata). Based on the popular French series “Haut Potentiel Intellectuel.” I really enjoyed this week’s premiere and would certainly recommend giving it a whirl to see it you like it.

Nightbitch

An artist who pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mum seeks a new chapter in her life and encounters just that, when her nightly routine takes a surreal turn and her maternal instincts begin to manifest in canine form.

The Big Bang Theory

The lives of four socially awkward friends, Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj, take a wild turn when they meet the beautiful and free-spirited Penny. One of this week’s unexpected new releases is every episode of this classic sitcom, indicating that Disney has done a licensing deal with Warner Brothers Discovery for some of the most popular shows.

Kiff: Lore of the Ring Light

Kiff and her friends go on an adventure to destroy a ring light of immense power.

Whiskey on the Rocks

In the early hours of October 28, 1981, a Soviet nuclear Whiskey class submarine was spotted aground inside a restricted Swedish military area. The world teetered on the brink of disaster. With global superpowers on edge, the eyes of the world turned to Sweden’s calm and collected prime minister, Thorbjörn Fälldin, a former sheep farmer, who faced the immense challenge of keeping peace between Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and U.S. President Ronald Reagan.

Shared Custody

In Shared Custody, parents Cris and Diego have just separated by mutual agreement. Their intention is to be mature, responsible and friendly adults for the sake of their five-year-old daughter, but neither of them can afford to live alone and take care of her. Cris’ work is very absorbing and Diego does not have a fixed salary, so both are forced to move back to their respective parents’ houses. The grandparents are excited that their children and granddaughter are back in their lives, but things deteriorate rapidly. What began as an amicable separation soon takes a turn when they run into harsh reality.

The Best Heart Attack of My Life

Based on true events, Ariel, a ghostwriter with a scandalous life, falls into crisis when his wife leaves him. A compulsive smoker, overweight, and with a sense of humor as dark as his underwear, he suffers a heart attack while staying in a rented house in another country, alongside a girl he has just met. This emotional event begins to bring new meaning to his life and the lives of many people around him.

There is also new episodes of the following shows:

  • NCIS – Season 22
  • American Dad – Season 20 /li>
  • 9-1-1: Lonestar – Season 5
