It’s Wednesday and time to take a look at what’s arrived on Disney+ today in Canada, including the first episodes of two major new series, “Under The Banner Of Heaven” and “Ms Marvel”, plus much more.

Here’s the rundown:


Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi – Episode 4

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.


Ms Marvel – Episode 1

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega-fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with superpowers, right?


Under The Banner Of Heaven – Episode 1

This FX limited series is inspired by the true-crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer, follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah.

As Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) investigates events that transpired within the Lafferty family, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion and the violent consequences of unyielding faith. What Pyre, a devout Mormon, unearths leads him to question his own faith.


Breaking Bobby Bones (S1)

Bobby Bones travels across the United States to meet people and perform daring stunts.


The Heartthrob: TV Changed, He Didn’t

A soap opera heartthrob, who has lost almost all his fame, lives trying to find his place in the world in the midst of crazy misadventures.


Delicacies Destiny S1

The young cook Ling Xiao Xiao was determined to become the first royal chef in the world and began to succeed in this dream when she won the appreciation of the prince Zhu Shou Kui and was employed in the delicacy room.


Atlanta (S3)

Earn works as a manager for his cousin Alfred, an upcoming rapper, and they try to make a name for themselves in the music industry. Earn struggles with providing for his child and lover.


Hardy Boys – Season 2 – New Episode

Frank and Callie make a shocking revelation about the Project Midnight test subjects, while Joe impatiently tries to enlist the help of J.B. Cox to get the power out of Frank.


Pride (S1)

“PRIDE” is a documentary series chronicling the struggle for LGBTQ+ civil rights in America from the 1950s through the 2000s.


Pickle & Peanut (S1, S2)

This buddy comedy, which features a mixture of animation and live-action, follows the offbeat adventures of small-town teenagers Pickle and Peanut. Entering their final year of high school, the friends are determined to have as much fun as possible before graduation and the resulting responsibilities of adulthood. Pickle and Peanut try to be anything but ordinary in their Nevada suburb. Peanut always stands up for what he thinks is right — even if it isn’t always right — and will do anything for his best friend. Pickle, meanwhile, wears his heart on his sleeve and, when his buddy comes up with a crazy plan, he usually makes it worse.


Baymax Dreams (Shorts) (S1, S2)

The series of two-minute shorts explore the content of Baymax’s dreams, whether he’s counting electric sheep or dodging virtual bedbugs. The episodes were created using a real-time production pipeline, which streamlines the process of creating content for multiple platforms and formats.
