It’s Wednesday and time to take a look at what’s been added to Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand, which includes the return of “The Chi” plus the latest Searchlight Pictures film.

The Chi: Season 6 – 8 New Episodes

On Chicago’s south side, an average day finds kids prepping for school as their parents head off to work, young adults trying to make a living, and the elders keeping an eye on things from their front porches. But in this tough neighborhood, real dangers threaten daily to squelch dreams, and the simplest decisions can have life or death consequences. From Emmy® winner Lena Waithe, The Chi is a timely coming-of-age drama series centered on a group of residents who become linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption.


All the Same…or Not: Season 2

Carol is experiencing important changes in her life; on the one hand, she has to deal with her mother marrying her new boyfriend; on the other, she starts dating someone for the first time in her life and begins to face unexpected situations.


Han River Police: Season 1 – 2 New Episodes

Tensions escalate when Go Giseok kidnaps Han Dujin, along with Baek Chul’s nephew, Han Jun.


L-Pop

The series follows a young K-pop fan who creates a band and enters a contest to win a trip to Korea, cradle of the musical genre that he is passionate about. In L-POP, Andrea is considered the number 1 fan of K-pop, the successful pop music genre originating in South Korea. While she would love to live dancing and listening to K-pop, she must divide her time between her passion, her dental studies, and her job at a coffee shop in Mexico City’s Koreatown. When she finds out about the launch of a dance contest whose prize is a trip to Korea, Andrea decides to form the best K-pop dance cover group together with Indra, her best friend, and two new allies: Silvana, an aspiring influencer, and Tomás, an office worker and K-pop expert. With the help of her new group of friends, Andrea embarks on a musical adventure to turn her fantasy into reality. Along the way, she will discover that what you want is worth fighting for, she will form an unforgettable dance team and reconnect with a big dream: to become a K-pop star.


The Worst of Evil (S1, Three-Episode Premiere)

Set in 1990s Seoul, The Worst of Evil follows police officer Park Jun-mo, who goes undercover to infiltrate a notorious crime organisation pushing a new drug in nightclubs. However, he discovers that his wife, Yoo Eui-jeong, has volunteered for the same undercover assignment, and shares history with the gang’s leader Jung Gi-cheol.

As a teen, Shi Won was obsessed with a boy band. Now 33 years old, Shi Won and her friends are reviving their memories as their school reunion nears.


Chevalier

Inspired by the incredible true story of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. The illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, Bologne (Kelvin Harrison Jr. in a tour de force performance) rises to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer, complete with an ill-fated love affair and a falling-out with Marie Antoinette (Lucy Boynton) and her court.


The D’Amelio Show – Season 3 – New Episodes

Charli wants Landon to join her in Milan for Fashion Week, but his phobia might keep him on the tarmac. Dixie is ready to take on the runways in Milan, but the emotional toll of a “parent situation” looms large.
